It has been so long since I last wrote. I have been so busy with work and not a whole lot of photography.
Last week I had the best pleasure of photographing a beautiful and creative lady from Little Rock, Arkansas. Shayla reached out to me about a month ago and I took a look at her profile and I'll be honest, I was surprised. She is an award winning interior designer and author of Four Seasons of Entertaining. More importantly, she is an inspiration through her beauty and passion in her philanthropic work. I was so grateful that she reached out to me and excited to share with you some of our magical & #colorful shoots!

She had two events locally in #CharlestonSC, which included a presentation and book signing. I was able to find the CUTEST boutique ever, The Community Charleston. This store was perfect for a little event and some photography inspiration.
The different vendors and all of the pretty colors truly make this store so perfectly unique.
Shayla's book, Four Seasons of Entertaining, is absolutely beautiful and brought ladies of the design world together for the night. Community over competition is so powerful. You do not realize how much you need a support system. Ladies, it IS so important!!!
The table settings and decor were some of my favorite memories from these nights spent with Shayla. She is so passionate about interior design and sharing her passions with aspiring designers was so special. The second night Shayla spoke at the Charleston Museum. This was another wonderful location for such an intimate and trendy event. The night included a Q & A presentation, dinner and a book signing.
The night was also spent well by getting to know more about Shayla and the wonderful ladies who work so closely with her. Getting to know your clients is something SO important and it'll help ease the sessions so much more.
Y'all, Shayla's smile and presence is so radiant. She is someone you want to listen to and you want to know more about. She is 1000% herself and handles herself with so much grace. I was lucky enough to show her around Charleston for our third day together. We explored different hotels and the notable locations in the area! It was a blast... but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

I wanted to share how Shayla found me because I think it is so important for photographers or designers to know. Hashtags. Yup. You read that right! Everyone uses so many hashtags, but do you ever know if they are beneficial for your business? By specifying the location I photograph and using #influencers, Shayla was able to discover my profile.
This is something everyone should be doing on their posts. This is a great way to reach more people and allow more people to find YOU! I had such a great time with Shayla and will always remember this opportunity.
