I had the great pleasure to photograph this sweet couple in their first apartment together. This was actually my first session like this and I seriously enjoyed it. Yes, it can be awkward. BUT, try to get your subjects as comfortable as possible. If it's awkward for you, then it's probably just as awkward for them.
Perla & Matthew welcomed me into their new apartment and we began to plan out what images she was wanting. We were both thinking very similar and we brought these thoughts to life! Pinterest is the best place to get your inspiration. Send your photographer some ideas that you like and be prepared for your photographer to send some of their ideas as well!

To start off the session, we decided that popcorn would be the ice breaker. Who doesn't love popcorn? There are so many things you can do to plan your intimate in-home session. You can plan to make pancakes, cookies, pour some wine, anything that best describes your relationship!
So, popcorn was the move.

Pick something that you both would enjoy and would bring out your personalities. Do some research before with your significant other and try to get a feel for what you would both be comfortable with.
Here are some of my favorite images from this in-home couple session.. ENJOY!

Thankful for photography & the people I am able to meet along the way!
